Cllr Jenny Reynolds

I have lived in Brenchley with my partner and our three children since 2011, after growing up in Maidstone and then living in London.  Our children all attended Brenchley and Matfield Primary School and have recently moved on to secondary school.

I have enjoyed a fulfilling and successful public sector career.  I am currently part of the senior management at NHS England, providing assurance on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions between NHS Trusts.  I also spent 16 years in local government, developing services for disadvantaged children and families, whilst gaining a master’s degree (MA) in Children’s Rights and have held policy and research roles at the Department for Education and the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).

I have volunteered in a range of roles in the parish, including being a school Governor for the past 9 years, focussing on provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities.  I also chaired the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association for 5 years, during which time we re-established the village fireworks event, introduced forest school activities for pupils and started the annual school ‘Family Camp-out’ event.

I am passionate about inclusivity and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.  I am keen to support the Parish Council in its work to understand the diverse needs of our community, so that everyone has access to a high standard of services and facilities.
