Road Closure – Sophurst Lane

Openreach – Temporary Road Closure – Sophurst Lane, Matfield – 9th June 2025 (Tunbridge Wells District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Sophurst Lane, Matfield, from 9th June 2025 with estimated completion by 10th June 2025.

Sophurst Lane, Matfield, will be closed outside Matfield Gate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kippings Cross Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Blue Boys Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, Cryals Road, Sophurst Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
