D-Day 80 Events 6th June 2024

Preparations are already underway for this historic event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in June 2024.

The attached information is a really good way to start thinking about the possible events that could be undertaken, the beacon lighting event on the evening of 6th June will be arranged by the Parish Council, a fish and ship van has already been booked!.

There is a great opportunity for a group of residents to arrange events for the Saturday 8th June, given the success of the Jubilee and Coronation events, please contact clerk@brenchleyandmatfield-pc.gov.uk if you feel able to take this on (financial support would be provided by the Parish Council).
