… a chance to talk to your elected Parish Councillors
The Parish Council are keen to become more visible and engage with the community – after all it is the residents who elect the members and they need to know what matters to the local people.
A presence on social media and a website, open meetings each month, Agendas, minutes and items on Noticeboards are all long-standing methods of communication. But what really matters is talking, both to enable Councillors to hear views but also for residents to learn what Councillors can actually do, and sometimes what they can’t.
To this end, the Council has decided to trial a ‘Councillors’ Corner’ as an opportunity for residents to meet with Councillors in person – a chance for a general chat or to talk about something specific. Two Councillors will be available in rotation on a monthly basis, with events alternating between Brenchley and Matfield.
The first session will be on Saturday 14th January at Grays between 11 am and 12 noon and monthly thereafter on the second Saturday. No appointment is necessary.
