Cllr Andrew Dewdney

I moved to Brenchley in 1999, when we returned to the UK after 8 years working abroad in France, the US and Singapore.   Having moved around so much, my wife and I thought we owed our three boys some stability as they grew up and went to school.   Our boys have moved on now – but Kathryn and I still enjoy living in this beautiful area.

I have always been involved in finance, and specialised in the financing and leasing of commercial aircraft for some of the World’s largest airlines. I am now retired and enjoying not commuting, so can spend more time locally and wanted to get more involved. I believe the near future is going to prove challenging for many people in our community as the country recovers from Covid-19 and the current economic stresses. The Parish Council can’t make a difference to these national problems, but I’d like to think we can make small improvements to life in the area and that’s why I got involved with the Council.
